LIS User Survey Results: What Labs Love About Dendi and Areas for Improvement

Direct customer feedback has always been the driving force behind Dendi’s growth. From the Dendi LIS launch in 2019 to the sudden onset of the pandemic to the present day post-COVID world, there has certainly been no shortage of demand for new improvements.

In order to iterate quickly, our process has always remained the same – focus on direct customer feedback. Simply put, what this boils down to is an incredible amount of in-person time with folks from all over the lab world. And in the wake of recent market changes, we’re raising the ante even further by asking ourselves the derivative question: “what would our customers’ customers find useful?”.

Our burning desire to be the very best is what we believe has led to our current status as the fastest growing medical lab software company in the US – with the highest customer satisfaction rates to boot.

We’re thrilled to share results from our most recent user survey which received responses from various types of Dendi users: lab technicians, lab managers, client services, c-suite, lab directors, and accessioners.

Dendi LIS User Survey Satisfaction Rating

Exceptional Overall Satisfaction

Our commitment to delivering a superior product and service is evident in our survey results. 95% of respondents rated their overall satisfaction with Dendi LIS as 4 to 5 out of 5 with an impressive 65% of respondents rating the highest level of satisfaction, 5 out of 5. This overwhelming positive feedback validates our dedication to ensuring that our software meets the evolving needs of our laboratory clients.

Core Features That Shine

Survey respondents left positive feedback about specific Dendi features such as its ease of integration and user interface, which highlights how Dendi LIS can make lab operations smoother from end-to-end.

Users praised the intuitive design and seamless workflow integrations that significantly cut down on administrative tasks and enhance operational efficiency. These are some quotes and metrics from the survey:

“I find Dendi to be very easy to [navigate] and find information on a client. Also, it has all the information needed. Very easy to learn to manage.”

“Order entry is super easy for our sites.”

  • Test Menu (Compendium) Management: Over 93% of applicable respondents rated it as “Extremely User-Friendly.”
  • Client Management: Over 88% of applicable respondents rated it as “Extremely User-Friendly.”
  • Implementation Time: Over 80% of applicable respondents were at least “Satisfied”.

Integration and Support: Pillars of User Experience

Our white-glove service approach is more than just a commitment—it’s a practice. It’s been said that customers “come to Dendi for the product, but stay for the integrations”. Although the survey highlighted areas for enhancement, many users expressed great satisfaction with the ease of integrating Dendi LIS with other systems, making it a pivotal tool for labs looking to modernize and streamline their processes.

The integration with Arkstone [interpretive reporting software] makes it easy to get reports without the need to download reports from the Arkstone website.”

Room for Improvement

Just because the survey results are overwhelmingly positive, doesn’t mean we’re resting on our laurels. Critical feedback is an invaluable asset as we continue to innovate and refine Dendi LIS, ensuring that it not only meets but anticipates the future needs of modern clinical diagnostics laboratories.

These are some of the common feature request that we received:

  • Inventory management.
  • Shipment manifest tracking (FedEx, USPS, UPS).
  • Sample tracking within a batch.
  • Data table customization.
  • Security limitations to lock down access to payor adds.
  • Audit trail for claims submissions to identify the sources of claims issues.

Several of these features are already in development or have already been deployed, which is a reflection of how we consider customer feedback in our product roadmap.

Not only does user feedback help us develop new features, but it also helps us determine whether already-deployed features are useful to our customers. For example, after a trial period, customers let us know that they weren’t finding value in our recently released insurance eligibility and discovery feature, so we’ve since deprecated it so we can focus on the features that do matter to our customers.
